Johnny Jump Ups

This was done from a photo taken outside my last apartment, where this flower grew quite vigorously. It is called Johnny Jump Up. It is a type of violet. It's latin name is Viola cornuta.

This is a painting of a place called Bakers Meadow in Andover. I painted this from a digital photo taken there on an overcast day. Although it is called Bakers Meadow it is actually a very beautiful little pond that has a trail around the perimeter.
